Hi Myself and Herself are thinking about going on a driving trip from Nice - Rome. Has anyone ever done this or somethin similar? and if so... What are the places to see? Things to do? Best route to take? What are prices like, Beer/Food/Accomodation along the way etc.. Thanks in advance for any reply's:)

Never driven to Rome, but I have driven from Nice to Milan. My one big tip is to avoid Genoa. It's just not pleasant.

Don't drive the autoroute or you'll miss out on some beautiful coastal towns (except to avoid Genoa - but be warned the autostrada around Genoa make for some of the toughest driving I've ever done).
