What's the smallest, lightest, best pump ever?

Can y'all recommend a pump small enough to fit in a jersey pocket that also has some half decent pumping ability- up to 100 psi ideally. Don't mind if it's a tad slow getting there.

I don't want anything frame mounted as it has to be transferable between bikes, (besides, I'm a minimalist :) ), and I'm not uber-keen on CO2 cartridges, as being the man I am, I'll forget to re-order them after use.

I need to start carrying a spare and tools as well, would love to know of any alternatives to those little saddle fanny-packs (other than a rubber-band around a spare and a set of levers)

Topeak Morph, or whatever they're calling it these days.

I have that. It small enough to fit into your back pocket. It takes 225 pumps to get to 100psi apparently but I have never counted.

Topeak Morph is not a small pump, I have a variant myself, it's enormous!

yeah, I was sort of downgrading the size aspect in favour of best...not much use having a pump if it doesn't do the job. I don't remember it being that big but compared to a Zefal HP-X any mini-pump looks small.

I'm starting to think that Scott only buys stuff that has his name on it.

    I have this: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=11314

When the new Boards order arrives, I would not be in the least bit surprised to see the Boards logo replaced with Scott.ie:D

    Thanks chaps.

Small is a priority, I don't want a large protrusion bulging from the back of my jersey, frightening children.

It also has to be not totally shti.

So the Scott is looking best so far.

Any other suggestions? And for carrying tools/spare?

    Grazie

I've used Scott's Scott, and it's a handy pump. Much better than my one.
    For a multi-tool, this is what I have: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=7340
It was a present. It's very small and comes with a neoprene pouch.

I use a Lezyne mini pump, they do a bigger one which is still a "back of pocket" hand pump, I haven't tried pushing past 60 on the one I have, but its really sturdy and very smooth.

I actually sponsor myself so I require the name. Reynolds wheels anyone.

Got this in the end after an unhealthy amount of online research.

Arrived today, 'tis teeny, sleek and feels well put together. Have yet to try pumping anything with it but Mr Google assures me it's as good as anything of similar size.

After some problems with my pump a few weeks ago I succumed to some online buying and amongst other thing I got this in the post last Thursday. Used it on a mate's bike last Friday and it did a pretty good job. Probably a bit heavy for most though.

The engineer in me likes the dual stroke pump action.

Picked up one of these in a shop in Italy when I was over - 140psi from a pump that weighs 50 something grammes - bestest little pump ever. Not the best frame mounts ever though, but they work.

Dose anyone ever remember those horrible aluminium pumps that came with the off the shelf Raleigh, Sun & Carlton racers? They use to dint easily and would blacken your hands from use. The Zefal was a dream to use.

I am not going to mention it. I just bought some more tops..... both with my name on it.

As for the pump. People keep posting specs where the pump is 23sm etc and its too big the SCOTT pump is only 16.5cm and fits is the back of a jersey pocket no problem. Its also telescopic..... it really good (not that I care if anyone else buys it my is great :))

Quick thread resurrection to say that The Bike Shop in Wexford are now stocking these, just ordered one to replace my pig-ugly Pocket Rocket.

They can't be bought from Wiggle for shipping to Ireland, presumably due to issues with air freight of the compressed gas.

They didn't have the alu one in stock, so are sending me the carbon wrap one for the same price. Can't recommended it yet, but bunnygreen was positive about it.

I am worried about that part:
SUPPLIED WITH A 16 GRAM THREADED CO2 CARTRIDGE TO EASILY INFLATE A 700C TYRE UP TO 130PSI. USED AS A MANUAL PUMP, THE CARTRIDGE ITSELF ACTS AS A HANDLE EXTENSION TO PROVIDE A WIDER, MORE COMFORTABLE GRIP

That grip can't really be that comfortable.. or safe! But i don't know. I ll wait for you to test it!

The SKS one is reputed not to work; I have read better reports about the Topeak. Personally though I am not sure I would go for one of those "ultra-mini" pumps. I got a Topeak Pocket Rocket DX just this week which I had the first opportunity to use in anger last night :( and I was very impressed, the thing works very well indeed for it's size and got up to a decent pressure. Easily fits in a jersey pocket.
