Scrappage scheme for bikes

    Looks like the green party have managed to persude Mr Lenihan to inclde bikes as part of the proposed scrappage scheme for cars. 250e for 10 year old bikes and older. They are hoping that this will help kick start the ailing bike to work scheme by giving people more that just their tax back.

    I bet you €100 that some gombeen from the Green Party (probably Mary Whyte) will be on Matt Cooper talking about this scheme before the week is out. If it wasn't actually April 1st I'd nearly believe it.

    Ignoring April Fools, I did see a few weeks ago Think Bike in Rathmines have a €100 scrappage deal for old bikes.

    I've seen pic's of yer bikes on the Kippure time trial thread... IMO €100 is a bit much for them...
