Massive weekend in the Rugby League calendar ahead. The Jewel in the crown will be the Leeds/Saints clash at Headingley on Sunday at 4:30. The BBC:eek: for whom the great sport of rugby league barely exists is actually covering it *doffs cap, bows and scrapes*. Teams to follow...

I heartily advise anyone with even a passing interest in rugby League to catch this game it is essentially the RL equivalent of Munster v Leinster!

However there are a lot of other excellent ties across the divisions; Halifax V Widnes is going to be a great clash:

    KR v Crusaders, Friday, 20:00.
    Halifax V Widnes, Friday, 20:00
    Harlequins V Huddersfield, Saturday, 15:00
    Catalans V Bradford, Sunday, 14:30
    Batley V Hunslet, Sunday, 14:00
Hull FC v Salford. Sunday, 15:15.

Any live coverage other than the Sunday matches do you know?

Fingers crossed Saints v Leeds will be as heated as the recent SL match :)

Loads of radio coverage on BBC...if you cant get digital radio, that is....other than that and to their eternal shame the London-centric BBC are only showing the leeds game....

They're showing Catalans v Bradford too I think.

I can't even listen to commentary tonight. If the stupid BBC gave the option of paying a tenner a week for their online service I'd pay it like! :pac:

You'll be at the Leeds match surely, can't see why you'd be worried about the TV coverage :P

I apologise. Will you be contacting the RFL to make sure the draw is seeded from now on? :P

Really looking forward to the Leeds vs Saints clash.

The Challenge cup isn't normally something that I get excited about, but this year, especially after the clash between the sides two weeks ago, this tie has an added spark to it.

I'd love to go to Wembley like 1999 and see Leeds lift the trophy again. :-)

Too right it was lucky, but Bradford were very lazy looking during it.

That mistake could turn the game again though.

Double luck for Catalans. Tick for tack at the moment, great to watch.

Great to watch up until now. Offloading in your own in-goal?! Braindead, no other word to describe that.

What an amazing turnaround. Hope they hold on now.

    Like I said, braindead :P

There's gonna have to be some changes at Bradford, they've just looked lazy since the match hit 60 minutes. I know it's easy to say when sittin on at home watching, but Christ there's no excuse.

    This is mad.

I'd almost say that should be a red card, arm was at head-height the whole way, not like the Bradford player ducked at the last minute.

Penalty try would be a laugh.

No yellow card for the high tackle? Anyone notice if it was put on report?

Nope but it wasn't a penalty try either as he was covered from behind and wouldn't have got around to the sticks imo.

Hand on heart stuff! Man if only this was on yesterday after Leicester and Sale instead of the borefest that was Leinster vs Munster.

A penalty try automatically gives the kick from under the posts. I think it's one of those instances of bending the rules for, in my opinion, good reason.

Some great tackles going in now :D

****sake, he pretty much missed him, get the game going again! :D

    Fantastic :D:D

One thing I'll never get in League is the inability of teams to keep the ball alive at the end. Once the hooter went Bradford just stopped moving instead of trying to get back behind the man with the ball.

Great second half, fingers crossed Saints and Leeds will deliver. :) I'm gonna say Saints by 8 points. :)

Seems a decent game so far, though I'm only seeing bits and pieces. Saints look worthy of their lead.

What fantastic games of Rugby league football....the Leeds/Saints game was absolutely amazing, huge levels of skill, commitment and passion..genuinely a brilliant advertisement for the game...pity there had to be a winner (and pity it wasnt Leeds!) but saints are absolutely amazing...on their recent performances, I'd have to say they're on course for the double...

Also well done to Salford, for beating Hull today, hope this marks their arrival at SL level rugby League....

Amazed but delighted with Salfords win yesterday, hopefully we will get Batley or similar at the Willows in the next round : )

Great games yesterday on BBC2, however McNamara was gutted after Bradfords defeat, not surprised!

Aye - not a chance of the game being shown on BBC though, will be comfortable enough for Salford even with that slope at Mount Pleasant!!!

Time to punt Warrington to win the cup me thinks....

LOL, yeah the big tactical decision, better to play up it in the first or second....?

anyhoo, some interesting ties, but Wire to win? hmmm...not so sure. Can't see anyone stopping the Saints this year...still you'll get good odds!
