    hi
i have never had the need to use a solicitor but recently after a death in family i think i need some advice and solicitor seems to be only way to go.

it has to do with inheritance and tax, but at the moment i am a bit short of money, and i dont even know if there is anything i can do legally to help.

if i make an appointment to see a solicitor to explain my situation, and they cannot do anything to help me, am i charged for this, and if so does anyone have a ball park figure on how much this one meeting would be.

www.flac.ie may be able to help. Though working in our legal aid centre I know we can't give much time to "non-urgent" cases like litigation over taxes etc. However, if it's a relatively simple question, the person may be able to help you over the phone.

Though I didn't address your main question, I hope this is of some use to you too.
