They give you a solid unbiased figure of what your good/bad in specific areas*.

However, they really have no point, I did the DATs, the only result I can see is my overflowing Physics class, as every who saw they have decent Mechanical reasoning decided they should do physics.

(*and in some areas theyre not accurate)

Take them with a grain of salt.

I find them helpful for guiding you but not choosing anything. For example, somehow, I managed to score highest in drama yet I have no intrest in acting. However my next highest was agriculture and I have a big intrest in horses.

I think the OP was refering to the DAT tests, not the interest tests (Pathfinder I think?) they are ridiculous.

Cloakroom attendant is listed as a career.
Midwifery was my top result, I think there should be a gender input at some stage of the test..........

The DATs (are they DATs that you're doing?) don't decide your career as such, only you can do that! What they do is give you an indication of what your strengths and weaknesses are.

we did ours month ago, at thevery end of the mocks. Now, third year is over and we still don't have them back. I'm quite an opinionated person, so I don't think they'll have any long term affect on my decisions career waise and all that kind of thing (which is kind of funny to be saying, seeing as I'm only 15 :p).

We got ours back after 2 weeks, pointless stuff, I got a rounded result, I was equal at everything minus languages which I was hopeless at.
