DTT Tests @ MT Leinster (or Kippure!)

Signal is currently fully gone. Anyone confirm this?

I am getting the same Slegs. Nothing on 666. All now on 738. I am using an aerial I bought off saortv pointed roughly towards mount leinster.

Signal strength seems very high on 738MHz. I can now pick up reception indoor with a cheap rabbit ears aerial

try a rescan to 738Mhz patrick - are you getting anything?

As I'm in Greystones there's a possibility that I'm picking up Kippure on 738MHz (instead of Three Rock). See my posting in the Three Rock thread....
Doesn't really explain why the Greystones relay on 722MHz (CH52) is still working as I understood it to be "slaved" from Three Rock

That makes sense. Those of us in Kildare/Laois seem to be picking up Kippure at 738MHz. Those down south are not seeing anythng from Mt Leinster and are too far away from Kippure.

Can anyone confirm if Kippure is active?

As of 10.00 I'm not receiving picture on CH54 any more. Strength 70%ish, but SQ is at 20% so too low. There's something on the channel but probably just a carrier at low strength. CH52 (Greystones) is fine.

Still receiving in Portarlington on CH54, signal strength 70%, quality is 90%. Had to do a rescan last night as CH45 was showing no signal

There may be aerial arrays pointed in different directions to ensure coverage. Portarlington is due West of Kippure, Greystones is due East and there are hills in the way!

Should be able to confirm if it's Kippure as I'm up to my folks today and couldn't get DTT from any transmitter the last time I was up there so just left the aerial pointing at Kippure as it gave them the best analogue signal.

signal back from mt. leinster can now get all sat chanells on technomate 6900 and pause or record to usb stick.

No dtt at all here from mt leinster in arklow despite having it before.
Analogue TV3 and TG4 from mt leinster is like a mirror as usual so something has changed.
I did a rescan and nothing is found.
Thats with the sony w4000.

Back on 666 Mhz again,now I have 3 sets of Channels to chose from(666,682&738)...738 is strongest-all showing 95 quality.

RTE1 & 2 seem to me in test
3 & 4 - EPG works - but no picture

Was working Friday - any one else got any experience of what is happening

It always seems to be 3 and 4 going off... do they ever black out 1 and 2???!!!
