I think a lot of people would go much faster in a race situation than in a time trial, so it might not be an accurate predictor. How about not wearing your watch for the race and just running to feel?

It maybe a bit close to do a full out time trial and use Mcmillan for that, Do you have any other recient races that you can use, of speed session you have been doing in training?

You could put in few numbers into Mcmillan and see what easy run times match your easy running pace, Might give you some idea but not sure how good that would be..

Hey seres, I enjoy reading your log, good work so far. I like cfitz's approach. For the likes of mcmillan to be accurate you do need a benchmark run in similar circumstances. Why don't you make the bupa your benchmark? I see your goal was to do sub42 but you've abandoned that target. Why not run to just over that pace for the first 5k and see how you feel? You won't be under pressure and if like most people you perform better in a race you've given yourself a chance of making sub42 with a strong finish. If you don't hit that target you'll have your benchmark run for the mini-marathon. This might be an alternative to running at an artificially calculated pace, and will help progress beyond Sunday. Best of luck!
