    Hi

i am looking to move from NTL to Sky but i have a few isues relating to the installation.

    1) Do sky have to run new cables around the house to the new points or can they use the exsting NTL Cables

    2) Whats the position in regard to the box having to be near the phone lines

    3) Is it better to use sky or an independent installer

    thanks

    1. They ought to use new cable. The cable used for cable TV is specified only to 1GHz.
    2. The box needs to be connected to a working phone line unless you pay extra to "buy out" that requirement. (You can't buy out if you have a "multiroom" viewing card.)
    3. Depends. Personal choice.
