Moving out of the country

I met a girl at a conference a few months ago, I was hitting on her and it was going well until she mistook strong vodka for weak stuff and she spent the night throwing up in our toilet, when she was done she was almost passed out so I put her to sleep in my bed, being forced to share a bed with my friend.

Next day, I barely saw her but before I left, I seemed to be the night in shining armour and she gave me a hug and thanked me for all I'd done.
For around the next week after that we must have texted each other around 500 times. She was the first person I spoke to in the morning and the last at night and pretty much all the time in between (to paraphrase her) I think there was afair bit of interest as she was talking of coming up to visit me in my part of the country and how lucky she was that she hadn't bored me yet. It petered out after a week, dunno why really and for the next while we barely spoke, I saw her again and we didn;t really speak much as we didn't really run into each other despite being at the same place. I still like her a fair bit but dunno how much interest she still has.

I'm leaving the country for a while and would love to know how she felt about me, I'd be cool with it if she doesn't like me anymore but for closure, I want to know if she felt the same way as I did back then.

How would I broach this with her?

Talk to and ask her? ( Yes I know, it's a real simple thing to write!)

There's an orbital song that contains the following lyrics

    "Daddy, what does regret mean?"
"Well son, the funny thing about regret is that it is better to regret something you have done than something you haven't done..."

I reckon that answer could possibly close half the threads on here :)
