    Hey all,

Does anyone know of a company that will let me rent a car regardless of how long ive had a full licence? I'm looking to hire a car in Alicante but i have only had my full drivers licence since August 2008.

Most car hire terms and conditions state a person has to have their licence for a minimum of a year. Im staying in the mountains so having a car is a necessity to get to the local supermarket etc.

    Any information would be appreciated!

Not sure if this is helpful, but the first time I rented a car in Spain, I only had my license about 2 months,I was worried going to pick the car up, but they never mentioned it, so it might not be that big a big a deal. I would go ahead and book the car- nothing to lose and all that.:)

Thanks for that, did you book with a well known company? Im considering going ahead with the booking and hope it works out, but if they refuse me the car i'll literally be stranded in the airport! Do they only check the dates at the airport upon collection or do you have to send them the details of your licence?
