Ya wouldnt need a dog for that. Just for pheasant etc shooting and flushing rabbits. I bring my dog when i have to shoot pigeons over crops but its just for company. He does nothing. Do you have a dog yet?

I believe its 16, unless it has been changed. Iv a dog there, 7 months old. Hes a cross. Hes still a bit excited, had him flushing rabbits saturday. But no need for pigeons or anything like that. The dogs would be mainly for flushing out birds from cover and retrieving them. If you were getting one you might have him ready for november 1st:)

nope. thats why i asked about the age for licencing as i am 16 and i assumed i would have to be 18 before i could licence a shotgun as noone in my family ever hunted only my uncle and he gave up years ago.
    would this affect my application?

no ,possible your parents or legal guardians would have to give there ok in writing .

it would be more credible for you to accompanied by one of the above when you make your application.

a friends 19 year old son who has a shotgun went in with a appalaction for a .22 to shoot rabbits on his fathers farm ,the cop rolled it up and trew it into the bin and told him we cant accommodate you .

my friend rang the cop shop went through him for a short cut told him to take the note out of the bin and processes it and thats what he did .

    so bring back up .
