Just a reminder that this offer ends this week . If you get an order in before this Friday connection is free (even if you don't get it for weeks/months:) )

All may not be lost, if you ordered and they've billed you, you can still just say you want the free connection promo. Even if you've actually paid it's worth a quick call to 1901 to say you applied online under the free connection scheme and ask for a credit on your bill. The offer actually applies to ALL connection orders received during the promo period, not just those made online.

Eircom nearly always have an free connection offer online, so you never have to pay for connection. I got connected online under the free connection offer and they still billed me. I just wrote "Free Online Connection Offer Applies" across the bill and spent it back to them. :D

    Offer details:

    * If your home previously had an eircom home phoneline and all line work is in place and you want to reconnect, the connection will be FREE ( worth €25.09)*
    * If your home has never had an eircom phoneline but all line work is in place, the connection will be FREE ( worth €49.99)**
    * If your home has never had an eircom phoneline, or all line work is not in place, the connection will be FREE ( worth €121.93)***

Sorry if this sounds silly, but have you actually been billed for it?

I got a connection very recently (cables already in situ), and got a letter (but not an official "bill") mentioning the €121.93 charge.

I rang up eircom in a bit of a huff expecting an argument, only to be told straight away - "you won't actually be billed that amount".

sweet. Ill give them a call tomorrow. I don't think Ive been billed yet, I just got two bills in the last two months, each just the €25 line rental. Actually I might just leave it alone. :)
