I have a supplier who supplies 2 pallets to me every year for the last 4 years. He's usually significantly cheaper than any supplier north or south. I contacted him over the weekend for a price and he is to come back to me over the next week. I will contact you by pm when I know with price and brand. He normally imports a few container loads of wrap and will deliver. There is no levy paid on it so you will have to arrange your own collection of waste silage wrap by some of the private collectors rather than IFFPG.

Sorry guys, he's not doing wrap this year.

I got it cheaper than him in McCorry's in Derrylin last year. But all they had was Quinn Wrap and I am definitely not buying Quinn wrap this year. I had a lot of fusty bales this winter - you could see the shape of the bale carrier growing in white lines on the bale after you took off the wrap. There was not a lot of wastage, but I just wasn't impressed with the quality of the wrap and the way that it preserved the bales in comparison to bales wrappped with other brands of wrap. I doubt if bales would keep for a second year with that wrap. I'll be looking for a different brand this year - even if I have to pay a few extra euro per roll it will be worth it.

I've used it in the past. It was good enough stuff. Found it did only 29 to 30 bales to the roll though. Other makes will do up to 32 bales with 4 layers per bale.
