iPod touch resale market

Hey everyone, first post so I'll keep it short.

So I've been waiting a while for a 64GB iPod touch, but have decided to buy the 32GB version and maybe upgrade to the 3rd gen in September (hopefully to a 64GB!).

Just wondering how easy (or hard) it would be to sell off the 32GB one. Have been looking around adverts.ie e-bay and gumtree etc. but I'd like to get a feel of what I'd be in for. Would I have to take a serious hit on the price?

I think you would take a big hit on depreciation. I wouldn't count on the only improvrment to the next Touch being just a capacity increase. If they add significant new features, that would undermine the resale value even more.

Personally I would wait. I have been waiting since the first Touch for there to be one with more sensible storage capacity at a realistic price, and I shall continue to wait.

Buy it in the North or in the US to minimise the hit you will take selling it here.

I'm studying in London atm so I'll be buying it over here for £283 (€305 ish) compared to €369 new. It'll be in a case with screen protector, upgraded to the 3.0 software when it's released and less than 6 months old. I'd be happy with around €275.

Now it's a auction so it's only rough but one guy has a 3 month old one for Buy It Now at €214
