Paddy Power mistake?

Hey my friend put two bets on in Paddy Power yesterday

10 euro serbia to win (we thought odds were about 5/2)
and
5 euro france,spain,germany,holland to win (odds of france were about 5/6 we heard)

he has just gone to get his winnings and just got 42euro back.

surely this is a mistake? it works out at a total of 1.8 to win between the two bets like,

or am I missing something here? cheers.

Try and see if they've any coupons left over and you'll get the odds off that.

Off the top of my head;
Spain - 2/5
Germany - 1/9
France 8/13

€5 Treble = €12.56

And then obviously then the €10 @ 5/2 = €35

So then that sums to €47.56

The only thing I can think of is that Serbia were 2/1 and maybe thats where the fiver is gone. Sometimes the prices change in football and as the coupons are printed out usually Weds for the weekend games, prices may fluctuate in between.

Here, Serbia were 3.31 and France 1.61.

and you know that for a fact do you???

People should know exactly what they are going to get back and if it isn't the same as when you go to collect ask why. There might be a reason like late price or rule 4(obviously not for football) etc. The computers can be wrong at times aswell.

Surely all you need to do is to query it with the manager, fair enough the cashier would not have a clue(98% of them have no clue aside from taking slips and money and giving back change).....
