Can't wait. Watched the entire first season in the one night on youtube and have rewatched them on tv too. Best comedy around atm and far better than most of the repetitive ****e that comes out of the states these days. Special mention for CYE which is good aswell.

Glad that I got in on the ground floor on this. Brave, straight-forward comedy. Put's RTE's efforts into damning context.

And season 2 is only 6 episodes long. :(

Season 1 was only 6 eps as well. I much prefer these shortened seasons tbh. It means that the writers have to stuff as many brilliant ideas into one show as possible as opposed to the practice in many American shows with 20 or more eps in a season where the writers have to dilute the jokes as they have so many more epsiodes to stretch the material over.

It's definitely a case of less is more with these shows - look at the likes of Fawlty Towers and Father Ted. People are still laughing at the same few episodes years on because each episode was crammed full of hilarity.

Can't wait for Series 2 to start this week.
The first series was the best thing on television last year!:)

One of the best shows to emerge in years. Can't wait.

    Simon: "She's gorgeousm, she's smart, she's amazing..."
Will: "Probably worth mentioning to her then mate...if thats how you feel..."
Jay: "Yeah...Why not mention it? Worst that can happen you get nothing, best that could happen - you get stinky fingers!"

Absolutely love this show the casting of the 4 main characters is spot on. One of the very few comedies to make me lol in recent years.

I forget the lead character's name but Senator Ronan Mullen is almost the spitting image of him!

I nearly fell off my chair when
    Neill punched the fish
    :D

The old spark was missing from tonight's episode.
Very drawn out in parts, and the ice cream old lady piece was just not funny, ending in a whimper rather than a bang.

Not exactly up there with the "football friend" episode.

    Disappointed by
    the bashing of the fish
    bit, otherwise it was funny.
Hope it gets back to form as with the first series.

I nearly pissed myself laughing when he was waving at the old woman in the bus.

My OH hasn't seen it before and I was raving about it, I was a bit worried with the start of the episode, but by the boat trip I was crying laughing, and I stupidly took a gulp of tea just before Simon stood up....classic.

I thought it was very good last night. The show has a real comic spark.

Thought that it was a good episode. Neil is hilarious.
Shame Will's mum wasn't in this episode...

After the utter sh*te that was Skins season three, i was delighted to see the inbetweeners back on last night! Class as usual, especially
    the fish punching bit
    and
    Jay eyeing up the granny

Can't wait for next week's episode. Wish it was a bit longer than 25 mins though :(

Bloody good. Fish punching, Neil grooming, Sock wearing, Flare shooting comedy gold.

    It is a great show.

On a side note, I just seen on the Bargain Alerts forum that season 1 is available on DVD from Amazon for £6.98 plus shipping.

That was hilarious, I was in pain from laughing so much. Gotta love Neil and how everything just rolls off his back. Punching the fish.. classic 10/10 :D

Ah, the fish punching was hilarious, and for some reason when
Lauren shouts "is that a fish?", and Will shouts back "yes, it's a f*cking fish!"
    I found absolutely side splitting.

    Forgot about that, the way
he kept saying "be with you in a minute", while trying to start the boat and getting progressivly more annoyed was gas.

Neill: Great, I used to go fishing with my dad. Jay: You used to go fisting with your dad

Great episode, footbalkl friends and the episode where they go the caravan park are my favourites, followed by that episode. Fantastic stuff. just ordered the DVD...

Thought I'd bump this thread, saw The Inbetweeners for the first time last night on E4, the repeat of all what's mentioned above.

Absolutely brilliant. Can't believe I'm so late in coming to this, have to get a hold of the first season!

    Jay is gas, expecially the
'she might just have an old face, on account of the gis' Cornetto bit.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 617 ✭✭✭biZrb

I think Jay is gas too, the stories he comes out with,
When they were all sitting in the boat talking about going out to sea and Jay said 'When I was in Spain last year me and my friend took out a pedlo and ended up in Africa'

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,649 ✭✭✭Catari Jaguar

Jay is so gross and hilarious *Frothing at the gash...* :D

Just watched season 1 again. Brilliant. Can't wait for next episode tonight! :D

Reminds of being a young lad!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,388 ✭✭✭Cina

Christ, I could not stop laughing tonight.

"If there's grass on the pitch, balls out!"
    "What if there's not?"
"Well it'll be too late by then anyway"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,186 ✭✭✭✭Basq

The second episode was much funnier than the first.

Funniest moment was the lads watching Simon getting the HJ from the girl.. and watching them enjoy it at first.. to Simon's eye contact with them.. to slowly show them becoming more and more horrified.

Also Will's awkward dialogue when telling the mechanics that Charlotte was a porn star (etc) was very very reminiscent of a young Mark from Peep Show.

Definitely the funniest show on UK telly in the last few years.. I've said it once and I'll say it again - the writers are top-notch. How they can make primarily teen comedy (sex / virgin etc. related dialogue) writing so fresh after years of stale teen comedies is an absolute testament to their writing ability!

    Excellent stuff!

I think the reason it's so damned good is because they talk so reminiscent of how we did at that age. There's a Jay in just about every group (maybe not quite to that extreme)

Wasn't keen on that episode. Was still good, but slower and cruder than usual. Will was a bit lame too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 220 ✭✭turnfan

Excellent ep. This show brings back memories of events that probably never happened, but that I would have dreaded of at the time. And Jays old man is brilliant!

Loved that episode, thought it was hilarious(most episodes are to be fair).
Sometimes episodes can have lulls in them before big funny bits but this one was great from start to finish, top stuff :)
