Travelling to the UK with 2 children over easter and just need confirmation about whether we need to bring them with us or not. Flying over and Ryanair want to charge 10 Euro for the privelage of bringing one along too:mad:

If its a case that theyre required then I think I'll stick to public transport but its a hassle at night........

    thanks I appreciate any input.

You mean required when you're renting a car or in a taxi or what?

I'm heading over myself at Easter with two kids. I'm hiring a car with hertz who only charge 3.50 each per seat per rental. Other places charge per day and works out very expensive. If using cabs , most cab firms will provide them if you ask in advance. Otherwise a lot of the bigger supermarkets over there sell them very cheap. I don't think if you are travelling by taxi they are required by law but I always feel I would never forgive myself if we were in an accident so always try and bring them if at all possible.

What I meant was what is the law regarding tourists in a hire car - are booster seats required?

I think Im going to take the bus anyhow to save all the extra hassle tbh:D

As Lizzyd66 says, one would never forgive themselves should something happen and not have the booster seats..........

    Thanks all.
