As ye know, every dart thrower is overweight, drinks too much and smokes to much. Even with the PDC's attempts to change this profile, the stigma still remains among the non darting public...

So are you any of the above?

I am actually, overweight, although if i could get my arse in gear i could get myself reasonably fit. I drink a fair bit, not helped by the fact i work in a pub but i don't smoke.

I've got a dart players belly. Im overweight, don't drink often and never smoked. also go to the gym 5 days a week but only to lift weights, not interested in being thin or looking muscley though just pure strength training.

I drink a bit, not as much as I used too because of the auld recession and having no job!

I'm very fit though, play GAA for local team and I used to play for Dublin. Have ran the Dublin Marathon before too and I go to the gym and train a fair bit. I like going to the gym and I am sport mad so would never let myself become unfit because I like playing GAA and soccer too much!

i dont smoke i do drink a few and not overweight but thats due to playin soccer ect.

i think the change from the big beerbelly smoker is deffo in mostly due to so many younger people throwing darts and mose of these play other sports aswell. i find its the older guy are the over weight guys.
smoking is down th personal choice
but 99% are drinkers and darts will alway be linked with drinking. not a bad thing though i booked over 40 people into killarney festivel last year only 8 i think entered the darts the rest went to enjoy the crack have a few drinks and all had a great weekend.

Don't smoke but enjoy a few drinks at the weekend. Not overweight, fit as i can be, train twice during the week and usually end up playing two matches every weekend!
