Hi there. Im thinking of taking a break in Zurich this summer for a few days.
For anyone that has been there, is a friday to a monday (incl) over doing it as I know in some cities, 2 days is enough.
    Would you recommend Zurich?

    Thanks a mill :)

went to Zurich last year and I reckon you would need three or four days. Its a well laid out city, not that big,the main commercial street and the old town running parallel to each other but separated by the river.Worth seeing the zoo overlooking the city, last stop on the tram, line 6 I think.James Joyce's grave is just behind the tram stop.

Try the Odeon restaurant/bar just across from the lake and do a cruise on the lake if the weather is kind.

The pedestrianised old town has nice restaurants and bars and is friendly .Overall it is a spotless and well run city.Transport from the airport by train is only 15 miutes.Slap bang in the city centre.

    Overall recommended.

Quite a sleepy city. Won't take long to walk around it in one day. You could take train trips to other places like Lucerne. Good for a relaxing break. Some interesting shops there, not a huge amount for sightseeing.
I enjoy history but found the musuem beside the HauptBanhof to be very dull.
But the Swiss do have a reputation for being a bit, how might you say, boring?
