For numbers taking an exam, are exemptions taken into account?

I presume so, I think that's how many seats are reserved in the venue for that exam.

Argh, it's not accepting my password for the local page. Is there any way to get it reset or something? Since it mustn't be what I think it is...

Well, we've had to change it since then. I'm assuming it's not the same password as I use to log in to the IS services page, or else something odd is going on...

Regardless. I've changed mine numerous times, but it's still the one I had in October 07. I think that's the same as the ISServices one...

Seating lists for the annual exams are fixed long before scholarship exam results are processed and scholarships and exemptions determined.

If it is the same pw, that's odd, as I can get into isservices fine, just not the local pages on the tcd website for some reason. And thanks for the pdf... yay, worst exams last.

Your external access password is stored separately to your internal access password, and some college intranet sites require the first password you ever received from Trinity. And then there's your MyZone password too.

    Go figure.

Can't get into it nor can I remember my old password. Wasn't there some sort of TCD password reminder service? Does anyone remember where I can find that?

edit; on another note, anyone bothered sticking up a JF Eng pdf?

    for people struggling with passwords:
You have an external access password, this is the one used to log on to general access machines. This password can be changed using the password manager, linky

You have a portal password, this can be changed by going to https://tcdlocalportal.tcd.ie/. Log in and click update registration.

You have a myzone password, this is set on the myzone page

You also have a local access password, for access to local pages for timetables etc. It should be the orriginal password you got.. If you've forgotten it, you can get it by going to isservices. You can change it here: http://isservices.tcd.ie/accounts/chngwebpass.php

For those cs related, there is also a cs password, im sure you know how it works..

All of the above is open to correction, but is true as i know it!!
    :)

Yeah I had a browse of the ISS website and it looks like I'll have to go in to ISS, present college ID and get the password reset there. Or perhaps they can just tell you what your origional password was, I'm not sure. (That would've also been handy while we had access to the ICT Huts as I could never remember the original password then either.)

At least amongst the other JFs I have spoken to about this, they're all in the same boat. Perhaps they should change the password setup process slightly so people are more aware of the need to hang on to the original password, or the advantages of changing it along with the other pws that people seem to have no trouble with. Or maybe JFs are just stupid and can't be helped:D:rolleyes:

Ah, balls. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Monday. Three of my final exams, which count collectively for 60% of my degree, in four days, then the next one (another 20% of the degree) with only two days in between them. And I'm far from the worst in my course - most of the people I've talked to so far have four in five days, one guy apparently has all four of his three days (though I haven't confirmed that one yet), it's a ****ing joke. I thought we got screwed all the way up through BESS so that in final year they'd make the effort to spread out the subjects even a little bit? Bastards :(

It has been possible to get a timetable changed Shay... depends how many people kick up a stink. Particularly for final year.

Does anyone know the email address or phone number you can ring to find out what your log in id and password is..I forget both as I never use Trinity's computers.

Doubt theyll give it out over the phone, you'll probably have to go in to them and show your student card.
The timetable should also be up on your course noticeboard.

What course are you and ill post it here if you want..

Incorrect. The timetable should not be up on your course noticeboard. Nor should any office circulate them. All enquiries should be directed to the website. Strict instructions from the Exams Office.

Cheers Dónal - got an e-mail from my class rep today as well seeing how many people were being screwed, so I added in my bitching to the mix. Any idea how bad it needs to be before they'll re-arrange stuff?
