Howdy, Any ideas which, if any, pubs show the celtic league games? I don't have Setanta - Chorus/NTL are jerking me around getting a connection...

    Depends where you live?
I've found nearly every pub will put the games on if you ask, especially as they dont tend to conflict with soccer games(most are fri/sat/sun evenings).
Nearly every pub has Setanta now

Dublin cental-ish, where Glasnevin meets Phibsboro - not exactly a hotbed of rugby. I find that pubs may put on the game but invariably refuse to turn the volume up much. Bit of a handicap that with the oval ball game...

To be honest there isn't a great selection of pubs to choose from.
Would the Porterhouse at the bridge be worth a try ?

I am in Santry and used to pop down to Fagans to watch games but in the last year they tended to give first preference to soccer

Sinnotts and Dohenys in town are sure bets if ya feel like travelling that bit further :)

Actually watched the leinster ospreys game in Hedigans(Brian Boru) there a few weeks ago. They did have the sound on, even though there was only about 5 people watching it.Not the biggest screen either.

Why not get a bus into town and hit Doheny and Nesbitt? Always a decent atmosphere there for Magners League games.

...actually watched the Toulouse v Leinster game where he backs ran riot a couple of years ago in Hedigans. The only seat I could get was right under the tv in the corner by the jax. Ended up with a fierce creak in the neck after that. Probably less demand for the celtic league tho.

    Cheers for the replies...
