You may need your P60s for 2007 and 2008 as well.

In any case, head down and they'll tell you what you need to bring back if anything.

In my limited experience with them you'll need everything bar the kitchen sink. Things like letters from landlords/parents etc. There's no way you'll have all the documents with you on the first visit so just take P45, passport, PPS card for now and they'll inform you of the hoops they want you to jump through when you present them.

There's a handy and very helpful list on the Citizens's Information website. Link here

Hope this works and it helps.

You need to go to the Social Welfare office on your very first day of unemployment, as claims are not normally backdated. Do not wait for P45's, redundancy statements etc.

All you need on that first day, is photographic ID ie driving licence/passport and proof of address. This is all you will need to register a claim. You will then be given a list of further items that may or may not be needed - and this will include P45/redundancy statements and possibly P60's, partner's payslips etc. You usually will be given a period of time to return these items, else your claim will automatically close.

The most important point though - is to register on your FIRST day of unemployment. Many people mistakenly believe they have to wait for a P45. This is wrong, and may result in you not getting your claim backdated.
