Random question here - when online journals look for an Athens code for an institutional login, is that something we can get access to or does that suggest TCD doesn't have a subscription to it? I'm on-campus, and went to the journal page through the TCD Library search engine, but while newer issues of the journal ("World Development") seem to work fine, the one I need from 1982 is asking for $30 to let me view it for 24 hours, unless I can enter an Athens login. The library website being as unhelpful as always, I figured boards was my best bet for an answer...

Athens appears to be an access management system run by Eduserv, a non-profit educational IT group. From a quick view of their website, Athens is managed in TCD by Arlene Healy. Her e-mail is listed as arhealy@tcd.ie. Maybe give her a bell?

You could always just photocopy the hard copy:
    PER 330
    ISSUES: 1973- Last rec'd: Vol.37:No.2(2009:FEB) on FEB 20, 2009

That usually indicates that the Library doesn't have a subscription to the electronic version of that periodical for that year. The quickest way of double-checking that is by looking up the periodical title in the periodicals index of the online catalogue. I've just checked it myself and we only have access to 1995 onwards so you'll have to use the hard (paper) copy in the Periodicals Reading Room.
