I'm planning on doing Engineering, Omnibus entry, next year, (hopefully:D). Just looking for advice from people doing that course on what kind of laptop people would recommend for it.
    Cheers

Don't get one for first year. You never ever get enough work to merit one. Once second year comes around, depending what you do, it'll be really useful for report writing, computer programming and the likes.

I'd wait another year and ask around then but if you do want one, most people now-a-days tend to go for the small little ones (either acer or dell) or the macbook because they're light for bringing in and out all the time
