Bleeding...

This is slightly embarrassing, god bless P.I. for giving us the chance to be anonymous!! Apologies if this post is a bit graphic.

I slept with my boyfriend last night and started to bleed during intercourse. He noticed it first, there was blood on the sheets.

I'm on the mini-pill and have been experiencing slight irregular spotting but I wasn't prepared for this! I've been with my boyfriend since last autumn and he's my first sexual partner. I'm in my early 20s.

Now I'm not looking for medical advice - I'm due to see my doctor next week anyway - I'm just wondering if anyone else has been in the same boat? I had a smear a few months ago which came back clear. The foreplay/sex last night was slightly, er, rougher than usual, and I do remember a moment where I thought "ouch! that hurt a bit", so I'm thinking maybe that caused the bleeding. I'm not due a period, as I haven't had any since being put on the mini-pill. In any case, the bleeding has not continued.

I'm not really sure what I'm looking for here really, I guess just reassurance that I'm not the first person this has happened to!! Thanks for reading.
