    Hi folks,

I am looking to buy a small mixing desk that will allow me to listen to a DJ setup and a laptop at the same time. It will be connected to two active monitors. Would something like this be adequate for what I want? http://www.thomann.de/ie/samson_mdr6_6kanal_mischpult.htm

Would I need to use two separate channels on it for a stereo signal from the DJ mixer?

    Excuse my ignorance!

    Thanks

Do you even need that? If you could run your Laptop into the DJ system it would do the job. No spare Auxiliary input?

On a budget I would go for something like this http://www.thomann.de/ie/behringer_xenyx_1002.htm

It has four stereo line inputs. If you don't need microphone inputs, there's no point in paying for the microphone preamps (the Samson desk has 4 of them, the Behringer only 2).

[EDIT] Paul was quicker and right as usual. I have very little experiance with DJ gear... [/EDIT]

Apologies for the ridiculously late response - forgot i had posted this.

@ Paul - indeed i can run it through as an auxiliary. oops!

@ Anders - i will probably need something like that soon for other stuff so cheers.

    Thanks for your help
