When do the sattelites get going realistically. What are the buy-ins? Thanks

  • Subscribers Posts: 32,859 ✭✭✭✭5starpool

I'd imagine they will definitely be going by 6.30. There are 1 ticket ones at €30, and 2 ticket ones at €60. I think 10 handed, but I don't play these satellites, so not fully sure. It is something like this though.

I am sure it does but maybe not at the 300 euro level.

And as we all know Poker is not gambling...:)

    recession my hole

    114 runners for this.

I was gone by Level 2,
Blinds 50 100 and a limper in ep.. I raise to 500 in Lp with KsKh folded around to the limper who ships their whole tank over the line 5K + and I called because
    (a) im no Rob Taylor
    (b) im in the Fitz

    im up against AQ
    Flop brick
Turn gives player a straight draw but 3 spades on board and I have Ks
Alas the Ah appears on the river and im gone:(:(

Gave 2K away easily to Sean Prendeville pocket 9's earlier against pocket Jacks.

donked away some more money in Cash games.......

Andy raised pre. 2 diamonds on the flop. She check called Andy's flop bet. Blank turn, she checks, Andy ships for 16K approx. She was playing about 20k and she called with the KQd flush draw vs ANdy's K10s. Twas a bad call IIMO but she was a lil cracker so that was ok....

    I went in 17th.

Hovered most of the night when the levels started to get stealable on about 20bb's. Was pretty much card dead until later on when I got AA 3 times in about 30 minutes. No action once, won 15k pot 2nd time and 3rd time they got busted in a 50K pot by the ducks of Rob Taylor with a 2 on the river. That left me pretty short with 10bb's.

Exited when I pushed over a raise short stacked with JJ only to run into the KK mo fo's.

I aint played this tourny in over a year. Great field with a lot of quality coupled with the usual value. Will make it my business to play it more often.

    Jay

I was knocked out in level two before 21:30. On the table to my right Adrian Walshe; Dominic Hever; Eamonn O'Reilly; to my left Jimmy Wan. Good players all. The player in seat one who was a train wreck in the making. Seat two was slightly better. Seat one was lifting his cards up to his face, and throwing bets into the pot.

At 25/50 I raised to 100 with AKs. Seat one went all-in for 7,500. I fold. I play AKs again but let it go after more crazy betting.

I get AA and call. Seat one calls. Nice. He hasn't a clue. I bet all the way getting more and more into the pot. At the river a third heart falls and he does a big acting routine tapping the edge of the table. I bet 800 and he goes all-in for 3k. Earlier he had gone all the way with A4o against two players without hitting either card. I called fearing he had stumbled into a hand. He has Q8 hearts for a flush.

I'm down to 250, in the big blind, and hit the top end of a straight with T2o. Next hand I find QQ and say I suppose I'll have to go all-in every hand. Called by AK. Flop is JTx and a Q on the turn puts me out.

Jimmy Wan was upset when he was moved from the table early. Seats one and two were chip dispensers.

bit harsh sayin he hasn't a clue if you limp in with AA...

Seat 2 was a special brand of genius. Seat 1 was obviously a total beginner, but seat 2 was up to 30k just after the first break then gone about 15 mins later. Some of his genius included the following:

75/150, 2 limpers, he makes it 600, I make it 2200 with QQ playing about 11k and he covers. flop is Axx. He checks, I bet 3100, he calls, turn and river are check/check, he flips over A3o. 15 mins later he raises to 600 after a limper, I shve for 5k with AKo, he folds saying he thinks he is behind this time. Genius!!

A while later he raises and calls a shove by someone with QTo. Then a load of limpers, I raise the button (6x) with AKo, flop comes Kxx with 2 hearts, he check calls my all in overbet with Qh4h and misses. He hits runner runner K to dog Adrian Walshe, then went out with AJ against Liongs AQ.

Well played James. Turning point was when you dogged my 4 7off to knock me out in 20th. Its a pity you donated half of your action in exchange for a 50euro fine you got for freerollin the dart earlier that night!

yeah ship the wins, got HU with that Asian girl who dont think ever played HU before as she couldn't quite get her head around the whole button is small blind and has to act first thing...

Ran ridic good from 2 tables out picking up tons of big pairs and getting action. Quick note on paddy hicks knocked him out in 6th/7th in a big setup spot. I called a min raise with KJ from the BB, flop QT9r DING!!! and check call his 4x shove with AQ. Pretty unlucky as were both the big stacks at the table at the time. Didn't finish up till 6.40...

9,600 was meant to be 10k but took 400 off for 11th. A few deals were trying to be struck when 4-5 handed but in true champ form I dismissed them all.

She was very poor. Tought she was gonna go on mega tilt after she folded that huge pot to that loose cannon who turned over pocket 3's.

She was directly to my right so was a bit awkward getting a proper look...Anyway not really into asians unlike a lot poker players that seem to have a strange fascination with them...

Don't think she was all that bad, she was just really tight passive. Maybe she tightened up with the pay jumps. Only remember her winning two big pots on the FT with A9s vs some small pair and KK vs TT. Although she was terrible HU(just no aggression) but I did have a 11:1 chip lead on her so maybe tiredness kicked in and she just wanted to go home.

That sounds like a deal to me, a true champ would have been kicking tables over before they accepted a deal like that.

Congrats and WP etc, was probably worth getting out of bed for in the end :pac:
