Doesn't the MG come with a 4 button controller?

don't think so, any simple 1/4" single footswitch will do the job alright and yup the first pedal in the link will suffice aok

No it doesn't come with one, unfortunately!

Considering the 2 are the same price is it worth getting the dual? Or is it pointless? I'm pretty new to electric guitars, been playing acoustic for years and now I'm out of my depth!

MG is a modelling amp though that seems to be very specific about it's footswitch:
    15. Footcontroller Socket
¼" Jack socket for the connection of the optional
    footcontroller (PEDL-90008)

Can't seem to find it on Thomann though

mg30 doesnt have footswitchable reverb, the only thing it has to change is a channell so the footswitch is either on or off

any 1/4" single footswitch should do the job

the first one will work in the link no problem, might aswell keep it the same brand to gaurantee its compatability... i paid 30eu or so for a carlsboro one before that worked with one..

4th one down is the one you want

I have the MG250 and it came with a two button footswitch (for channel and effects). They also come with the MG100,50 and i presume the 30. I would suggest getting the two button footswitch cause the effects cannot be used with just a single button switch

I'm picking up a footswitch for a marshall 30w mg. Do I need a dual switch or just the one?

One out of these 2 to clarify

    http://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/pedals.asp?brandname=Marshall

They are both the same price......why not go for the 2 button version. It might be more usefull than the single version.

FOR THE LAST TIME the mg30 only has 1 channel footswithable

FFS ITS EITHER ON OR OFF

THERES ONLY 1 SWITCH TO USE NO FX.. NO VERB, NO NOTIHNG

2 buttons are better than one button.....unless the MG only uses one button.:)

That is it settled, finally.......the amp uses one switch. Thread over.

The shop sent the 2 button, it wasn't compatible so I returned it.

The damn thing only works with the 4 button monstrosity feylya mentioned. Which isn't available yet.... not until mid-May on Thomann.

So now I'm torn between waiting for that, or just picking up the Boss ME20 or 50 multi effects. I was gonna get a wah pedal anyway, so I figure it would only cost marginally more to get a truck load of effects on the pedal.

What do you all think? I play pretty much any kind of music, so I'm into having a big variety of sounds.

yup the 2 button one wont work, like i said... you want a single channel footswitch i used one ages ago, it wasnt even marshall made, carlsbro was the maker i believe, it worked fine and didnt make a diff cause its a simple channel switching footswitch!

you do not need 4 for an amp which only uses one switch, if i had mine id give you it for free but i actually did lose the amp with the footswitch in the back

get a refund go to a music shop and see if they have a simple single footswitch
