Not sure if this is the correct place to post so if not please feel free to move it around.

Basically as part of my Fetac course i am required to produce a report on Make Up and Cosmetics, so far i have a wee survey done on the usage (products, brands, reasons as to wearing make up etc), the history and earliest recordings of make up, functions, and harmful effects.

Im completely buggered as to what to do next, any ideas on wee topics i could use in it ? Thank you.

I read a really interesting book called 'War Paint' by Lindy Woodhead. It talks about the history of Make Up from the 19th Century to the 1960's and the two main players at the time - Helena Rubenstein and Elizabeth Arden. It's pretty much written as a biography. You might get some good topics in there.

I did something like this years ago. I covered the history and there is so much to cover on this when it started, how it started, how it changed through the years etc.
What make up is made from. Go through the basics foundation, lipstick, mascara, eyeshadow, the ingredients.
The different types of make up for different skin types. Alcohol free, sensitive, perfume free.
Reasons for wearing it. What it can do for someone boost confidence etc.
You can also cover not just cosmetic make up but camoflauge make up used for scars, cover tatoo's burns or fantasy make up.
How make up is worn- the difference between younger and older women.
How much women spend on make up
Down side of make up - clogged pores etc

This is mainly what i covered hope it helps just waffle;)

You could write something about parabens and the health concerns and the trend for more natural paraben free products.
