    Hi
moving to Dublin soon, thinking of looking for accomodation near the green line (dundrum/windy arbour/milltown)

does the green line ever get so congested that one would have to wait for the next tram ? if so at what times?

    thanks

I haven't lived on that line for a few years now, and I think they've increased the service since, but when I was using it regularly, it wasn't rare for me to wait for 2 or 3 trams before I'd get on at around 8am (heading into town). The closer to the start of the line you live, the easier to get on.

Overcrowding - wait until the Green Line extension opens! :D

I use it everyday. I have never found it too busy to get on. One morning it was uncomfortably full but this seemed unusual to me. In the evenings I normally try to leave work before 5 as 5 - 6 can be busy. Generally I would say it is the best and most reliable public transport option in Dublin.

Apparently after Dundrum in the mornings it can be difficult to get on.

Wait till it is extended out to Bray!

It happens quite often that the folks getting on in Milltown, Beechwood etc. need to wait for the next tram. Biggest crowds get in in Dundrum and Balally.

If they knew it was going to be full anyway, IMO it would be better to start some trams about halfway in on the line, so the people closer in get a chance to get on the things.
