    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/manchester/7963081.stm

BBC: The parents of a girl who died suddenly have received a school letter demanding she improves her attendance.

Megan Gillan, 15, was found dead in the bedroom of her home in Macclesfield, Cheshire, two months ago.

The letter, dated 16 March, said "students must have at least 92% attendance and Megan's is currently 60.4%".

"She's been dead for two months now so it's not surprising her attendance is low"

    Margaret Gillan

Good to know that English schools are on the ball.

    60.4 % isn't bad for a dead girl

    There's no excuse for truancy.

Yeah, because here in Ireland we'd never send out documents for people who've been dead for years.

Part of me thinks 'jebus' when I read things like that, but another part thinks 'Come on, they obviously didn't do it deliberately, cut them some slack'

It's obviously the parents' fault for not notifying the school that their daughter had died. They let the school constantly call out her name in class, only to say, "Absent", causing untold anguish and grief to her classmates.

    Shame on those parents.

You'd think someone in the class would point out that she died if that was the case

Why are the parents here giving interviews to the BBC about a simple clerical error? Let you're daughter rest in peace you pair of c/unts.

Out of curiosity I did a google search on her name to see what happened her. Well, I didn't find that out but her semi-literate friends have set up an RIP Bebo page for her, and there is scandal! The front page calls two other girls murderers and says it's their fault.

Also, when did Christians start believing people turn into angels when they die? That's just messed up.

    Link?

Also, if she went to school more maybe she wouldnt be dead. Skool is kool!!!

Still getting the hang of that whole copy-paste-click thing you need for google?

    http://www.bebo.com/Profile.jsp?MemberId=8485985813

"TAZ AND ****ING TASHA I HOPE U R WELL PROUD OF UR SELVES U FUKIN MURDERING BASTARDS."

Now that I think of it, maybe Taz is a guy. A former beau perhaps, who then ran off with this Tasha scank and she killed herself. This is all rather dramatic.

    No, she was grounded

Also, in before "Oh my god a girl has died and you are all terrible and this place has gone to crap blah blah blah blah"

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,476 ✭✭✭Mr.Lizard

    No, she was grounded

We shouldn't make jokes considering the grave situation.

back in my day the teachers would r.i.p. us a new one if we only turned up 60% of the time. It seems the British education system is well and truly dead and buried

Maybe if he leaves a year or so to post the punners will have got bored and gone away, then he'd be free to post.

(although by that stage it'd be up there with "You'll never guess who turned up at the prom and attacked taz and tasha" in the zombie thread stakes)
