PC World is your best bet if you just want to buy one and fit it yourself. Keep the receipt in a safe place for warranty.

If you have time to wait buy online, always cheaper.

Jesus christ, why would anyone recommend Maplins over PC World?? I'm no major fan of PC World but their prices, while still higher then online, are about 50% of Maplins.

maplin do carry a lot of stuff pc world don't, though. And sometimes they're cheaper for certain things.

Dabs.ie usually have very good prices for HDDs, just remember to check whether the HDD you need for that laptop is IDE or SATA :)
