    hi guys
considering getting sky multiroom and i am wondering what the deal is with phone line.?i have a phoneline as such which my original standard sky box would have been connected to but we are no longer connected to eircom because there simply is no need for connection with 3 mobiles in the house!!! does it have to be an active line or is the connection enough to get multiroom???

Every Sky box will have to be connected to the phone line.

The reason for the phoneline with multiroom especially is so Sky can keep an eye on your Digibox. If you have the full package in the main room, all mutiroom boxes will be getting the full package for a quarter of the price so if they don't have the phone lines to check and see if it's still in your house - you could easily get the multiroom viewing card and just give it to someone down the street or a familiy member, full package for €15 a month instead of €60+.

When I got mine installed, the technician said they only "dial in" and check every 2 months - shame we can't just when exactly.

And yes, the line must be an active phoneline.
