Hotel Suggestions for a toddler?

Looking for somewhere for a couple of nights, end of April for myself wife and baby daughter. I live in North Co. Dublin so probably somewhere within a couple of hours drive. Would an self catering apartment/lodge on a hotel site be a better idea? Any help or advice would be very welcome?
