Buying a Car

    Hi,

I am looking to buy a second hand car. I don't have a car already. My max budget is 3,000 euro and I want something with a smaller engine size so the insurance is cheaper (something like a 1.4).

I have looked on various websites but haven't seen anything that I can consider an absolute bargain. With all this recession in the air and with people losing their jobs and their cars I thought I might have been able to get my hands on a really cheap car. Am I looking in the wrong places? Does anyone know anything about car auctions and where they take place? Given that I don't need to trade an old car in I think that I am in a strong position. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Johnny.
