Networking issue

Hi guys. This is probably really straightforward but I don't have a clue what's going on. Basically, in the absence of a USB key, I tried to set up a home/office network to share a file that was on my XP desktop with my Vista laptop. I basically did the networking wizard and it seemed pretty easy, just followed each step and then I could see the folder on the laptop. However, now it's causing all sorts of problems... only one laptop can connect at a time, the desktops having connectivity issues... basically, is there anyway I can reverse what I did? Completely reverse it. Any help hugely appreciated.

Did you try to use the same IP address on multiple machines?

On each affected machine, run "ipconfig /all" in a command prompt, in there will be the IP address. Each machine will need a unique one.
