My grandaunt went her own way in the world decades ago, i dont know if she emigrated or stayed in ireland. I expect that she is now deceased. I would like to find out what became of her and hopefully locate where she is buried and if i have any relatives that i know nothing about.
Can someone advise me on how to go about this?

    hi jim79 ,
friend mine in similar situation to yours a few years back.
he knew the relative in question had gone to australia (perth or sydney)
so he contacted irish embasy there and eventually it was through a local parish priest in sydney that they traced the name , and found relatives alive. still keep in touch to this day, there are great records out there, any idea what country she went to ?
it is such a small world- off point here now but another friend builder, spent last few years in new york, one day he was clearing out small studio apartment in manhattan for redecorating and came across a picture of his next door neighbours back at home in kerry!!
