Both June and September are in the rainy season so one is no better than the other. However bear in mind the rainy season is not constant rain. You can go for a week without a drop then get a torrential downpour for maybe an hour or so and then no rain again for another week. I was in Thailand last July for a month, supposedly right in the middle of the rainy season and we got rain twice in 30 days. On both occasions it lasted no more than 30 mins.

    Cheers,

thats what I thought but apparently the travel agent is pushing june. you see its a prize I won and would rather leave it later in the year

Stick with September then, you never know we may get a decent summer here and then at least you will have something to look forward to come the autumn. Most important of all, enjoy yourself whenever you decide to go! :)

Went last September/Oct and saw only one really heavy hour of monsoon. It was extremely impressive :D

I travelled around the North, South and centre of the country aswell. I'd say you should be ok in September, if you'd prefer that time of year.

All depends on where you are and when, its luck of the draw during the monsoon really. I was there last September and it rained more or less every day at some stage. Bangkok's streets were flooded on some days.

Still though it usually rains for no longer than 1.5-2hrs a day ( often less but occasionally more )and it is quite warm rain so its no biggie if you get caught out in it. I'd say go alright, a few drops of rain a couple of hours a day won't ruin your holiday.
