I am have serious financial difficulties and these worries are taking over everything. I am slipping into a deep depression and I can only see one way out and it's not a good one. Last night was the worst night, on one hand I was thinking, sure what's the worse that can happen? and on the other hand I was thinking I just want to go to sleep and not wake up. I rang the samaratians, just to talk to someone and it was the worse call I have ever made, I don't know what I was expecting, but it was akward and I made my aplogies and hung up. I don't know where to go from here, I feel like such a failure. none of my family know what's going on, I broke down when my sister was here yesterday and I felt so ashamed. I'm at the end of my tether, just don't know what to do.

    Sickwithworry,

I don't mean to pry but if you give us more details about your worries maybe we can give some advice.

I know money is a big worry for many people at the moment but try to focus on your family and the good things in your life.

Hi SWW. i see a little about you from earlier posts. Did you make contact with the people the mod rec in the PM to you how did you get on!

From what I can tell you have been running a business unsuccessfully of late and its getting you down, This is what has you worried.

At the end of the day a business is designed to be an entity not a part of you. I dont know if you have family or kids but these should be your first priority. Your family has lent you money so they are concearned about you

Everything depends on how honest you have been with those around you.

If you are truly bankrupt you can get this declared and it gives some protection but this should be your last resort.

Try to make arrangements with your creditors to pay back what you can. I found the "I will give you this every week or I will give nothing" usually works.

Again you need to get advice more than we can offer here I imagine. Try citizens information.

As for the tax man, I dont know why you owe him so much have you failed to make your returns? and if so why? if you make money you charged tax you know this is not yours so where is your problems with the tax man?

If you on looking for Pity you will get loads. People are very understanding but if your on looking for advice you need to explain yourself fully

Best of luck. Remember you are a person who has life be. Calm yourself down and get help if you need it. Dont loose it. It cannot do you any good!

    All the best!

thanks for the replies. I don't know why I posted here, everything has just built up and I'm at a low point. I'm not looking for pity, I just thought by releasing some of my anxieties here, that it would help me. I am in the process of getting the accounts sorted out thanks to an amazing accountant who has offered to give me a dig out, so that's one thing. I am trying to deal with everything but at the moment I just can't see the wood from the trees. thanks for the replies.

Dont apologise, You posted cause you wanted advice. Many people cannot see the trees at the moment they are in so deep, I pity anybody on HP at the moment and out of work

Hang with it and post away but the unfortunate thing is society assumes you will take its advice and go help yourself if that makes sense!
