Im currently in 3rd year in UCD doing Commerce with Accounting.
Im considering doing a Masters in accountancy somewhere next year.

At the end of the day I know it is just for the exemptions and is pretty much worthless otherwise. However there must be some merits to doing it in certain places.

The choices available seem to be wide:

    -M. Acc in UCD
    -M. Acc in Maynooth
    -Msc in DIT
    -MBS in Accounting in DCU
    -Msc in Griffith College

    Etc, etc...

Im living in Kildare so Maynooth would be the handiest but is there anything to set one of the courses apart from the others??

Any help or advice regarding any of these courses would be very appreciated. Cheers

Out in Maynooth myself doing the course. It's pretty handy. 2hrs of class a day Mon-Thurs. Thesis due during the second semester as opposed to everywhere else having to do it over the summer months. Like you said it's just for the exemptions so not much of a difference where you do it.

UCD and DCU have massive workloads compared to our course although DCU's MBS is a lot more valuable to you down the line if you'd like to become a lecturer.
