    Hey all!

Just looking for a bit of advice, being goin the gym on and off for a few years i'm 23 and play football...

I wwant to build muscle on me and also maintain a high standard of fitness... My problem is finding the balance between the two as not to seem counter productive...

If i did cardio 2 days and muscle building (with mass builder) 3 days would that be an ideal balance... any help is greatly appreciated

If i was you i wouldnt rely on the cardio machines to maintain your fitness in relation to playing matches. In my opinion you would be better off going to a pitch or park and doing some plyometrics or interval sprints

+1 - Football is short and sharp, running on a treadmill is not going to do you any good, short sprints improve your game as much as everyone hates them.
Weights will also add to your game, if I was going to the gym for football I would be going for the weights.

Edit - I assumed you meant soccer above but im sure the same applies to the GAA if thats what your talking about (more so with the weights actually)
