If a crew cab is fitted with fixed euipment required to run a business and thus the vehicle is therefore required for every job, does it qualify for €50 vrt as a goods vehicle? Or does back seat area also need to be converted to commercial? Checked vrt sites but very vague on goods vehicles. The back is more than 45% of wheel base length but under 3500kgs gvw. Has this any relevance please anyone?

if the back iss over 45% , the gvw is above 2.4 tonnes and the wheelbase is longer than 2.4 meters you qualify, just remember to tell your insurance it has 4 seats, quinn automatically assume a commercial has 2

I'll check that with vro here tomorrow but why is it that different vro's have different guidelines?

    http://www.revenue.ie/en/about/foi/s16/vehicle-registration-tax/index.html

Check section one of this and read through pages 8-10. It says gvw of 3500kgs which contradicts what tallaght are saying of 2500kgs
