Looking for a central hotel in Rome...
Budget of about €100-130 per night for double?

    Any tips?

    Thanks!

You could try the Hotel Nerva - it's in Rome 00184 which means it's right by the Colosseum and various other historical sites of interest...pretty much a perfect location in my opinion!

Obviously it's not the most luxurious hotel in the city, but the rooms were clean and perfectly adequate. In other words, as a base for exploring the city it's pretty much ideal. Plus, the staff were all very friendly and welcoming which I consider important...they were happy to recommend restaurants for us and even make some reservation as we can't speak italian.

We stayed in The Hotel Caprice, just off the Via Veneto. Great location, the Via Veneto is a really lively street. You are less than 5mins to the Spanish Steps and only a couple of minutes to the metro.

We paid about €100 per night, it's not super fancy but it's clean and the price included a good continental breakfast. I would stay there again if I was in Rome.
