It's one of my all time favourites, A great story, fantastic cast and one of the most entertaining westerns ever made.

    Indeed. Terrific film.

I second that... I'm not a western film fan but dam this is a good one.. And like darko said, excellent cast.

I thought it was very good up until the shoot-out at the OK Corral. It went a little off the rails after that point.

On a side note, I have family in Arizona, and I spent a few weeks there in 1995 or so. I was in Tombstone and Old Tucson, which is where it was filmed. Ehh... that's all! I thought I might have been able to share an interesting anecdote based upon that, but I've got nothing.

Really good western, although I tend to favour Wyatt Earp, Keven Costner's take on the same character.

Dennis Quaid nailed the Doc Holliday role to a tee, mind you, so did Val Kilmer.

Great film, made even better by Kilmer s performance.

Did anybody ever notice that Billy Bob Thornton is in it?

Great western. One of the best in recent times. Casting was great in it.

yeah, the bit where val kilmer is making the tumbler dance in his hand, after the other chap draws on him is pure class. made me want to be a cowboy even more

Kilmer was top drawer in this -pity he didn't really deliver afterwards with a few notable exceptions:cool:

Brilliant movie, I'm waiting patiently for its Blu-Ray release, loved Michael Biehn as Johnny Ringo, Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday Kurt Russell as Wyatt, thought they made the freindship between Doc & Wyatt believable, I always cry a little when the Doc dies :(
In the rest of the cast are cult actors like Terry O'Quinn, Frank Stallone, Michael Rooker and the Great Bill Paxton. Also has a couple of legends in Charlton Heston appearing and Robert Mitchum providing the voice over.

One of the standout scenes is the one where the Doc makes fun of Johnny Ringo imitating Johnny's fancy gun tricks by doing the same with his Tin Cup :)

This was directed by the late George P Cosmatos who had previosly directed Rambo First Blood Part 2, I think his lasting legacy will be Tombstone, a real cult homage to the old school Western!

    I'll be your huckleberry! :)

Most people don't agree with me but I much preferred Wyatt Earp starring Costner with another great cast including Dennis Quaid, Gene Hackman, Bill Pullman, Tom Sizemore, Isabella Rossinlini and others.

They are both quality films, but Kilmer's performance gives Tombstone the edge imo.

Ah man I have to go and buy this now! Seen it loads of times but reading this post makes me feel I have to see this again. That has to be the quote of the movie -I'll be your huckleberry! Won't say anything more that might ruin it for those who havn't seen it yet. Can't for the life of me remember Heston.

Why, it's the drunk piano player. You're so drunk, you can't hit nothin'. In fact, you're probably seeing double.

I have two guns, one for each of ya.

Fantastic flick and a great performance by the cast.
