Anyone a member / played here ? I'll be down that way on Thurs/Fri and wondering if it's worth a visit for a game.

    Cheers, Kevin

Bandon's an interesting mix of holes. You end up with four different courses in one because you move around the place - across roads and tracks. It's a good bit of fun and there are some big trees on the back 9 that give great character. Two big holes down the bottom (13 and 14 I think) have Out of Bounds very tight to the left, so be careful on those.
Not outstanding in terms of quality but an entertaining country course you should enjoy.

    Hi Kevin

I played there for the first time last September or so and I really liked it. There are three really good holes once you go onto what seems to be a new part of the course. But, yeah, I'd definately recommend it. And if you've time there is a 9 hole course called Lisselan on the road to Clonakilty that is well worth a visit. It's a great little course with a couple of automatic trains..... yes, trains..... to take you up a couple of steep hills!!

    Enjoy

    Denis

I played senior cup there last year, and its always in good nick. However the greens are tiny. Too many holes hitting long or mid iron into a green not deep enough for a wedge. Just my opinion

this may not have started yet though
    like gorefield said small greens
best 3 holes are the new 3 imo

Its a rollercoaster :D, I always find it hard to make a good (stableford) score there ! Some of the par 3's (ahem....and par 4's) are very interesting !
