Officially the first festival of the Summer, Sibin launched last year on the May bank holiday weekend with a crackin line-up including Benga, General Levy, DJ Storm, Bailey, Noise Control, Sunil Sharpe as well as a host of Ireland's top crews including Choicecuts, Reach, !Kaboogie, Electric City.
One of the initial ideas of Sibin was to cater for the largely niche sounds in Dublin such as DnB, Dubstep, Reggae, Hip-Hop & soul, with rock & techno also included. The festival went down with a bang last year (depsite being shut down early due to some confusion over the license issues) and they are ready to come back in full force this year.
With many of the crews involved in the festival regularly hosting events at MUD it made perfect sense to throw a Sibin launch party to celebrate the it's return, announce the line-up and give a little live taster of the Irish acts who will be performing.
You can check out all the details of last years festival right here, the site should be updated for this year very soon too: http://www.sibinfestival.com/
