Marshall JVM Series...??

Anyone got any experience with the Marshall JVM Series amps? I've heard they can be questionable on the reliability front. Anyone had any problems with this?

I'm looking for an all tube combo in the region of E1k, to range across hard rock to metal and still deliver on the cleans. Minimum 2 channels with an optional boost for leads, and not overly complicated for switching between the two/three. Want something that doesn't have to be completely cranked to achieve reasonable tones (50 watts is plenty)

Was thinking of the JVM205C and tried one out there a few weeks back. Highly impressed with the high gain settings but the cleans really didn't impress.

Any other amp suggestions much appreciated! I've heard good things about the Peavey Classic, yet to give one a whirl yet though....

Have not heard of any problems with jvm serier.Marshall vintage modern sounds great but takes a while to get used to the way the gain works. It is a single channel amp with switchable gain stages,so with a footswitch it will go from clean to dirt.50 watt all valve,so not to loud.Worth a try.Looks great too.

Cleans are not really great on any Marshall anyway. The ideal amp for you could be a Mesa Boogie. Crystal clear cleans and savage Mesa overdrive. Not cheap though.

I have a 410c JVM but i am now selling it, as i have a Mesa Express amp. The JVM never let me down, but it's less than a year old anyway. 2 volume controls makes it easier for boosts for leads.
