Hey, I'm jus wondering if anybody has done/is currently doing the Hdip in education in UCC...I'm wondering if I should apply for the course next year..

A few questions -is the course difficult to get on to? I hear there's an interview, but does anybody know what they take into consideration? Academic grades? (shudder!) Teaching experience?

Do students usually study two subjects? As I'm majoring in English, I'm wondering if it's possible to pick up another subject ..like history or a language..

Do you think fees will rise? (Darn recessionista Ireland!)

Oh and do you/did you enjoy it?!

    All comments appreciated! Thanks!:D

who told you there were interviews?
If you go to www.pac.ie you can download the PGDE book. The deadline is usually in Dec. I applied last year, waiting to hear back. It is a point system (CAO) for the NUIs Galway, Maynooth, UCC and UCD and there is an interview for Trinity which I did last week.
If you go into the Education thread you will be able to find more information.
