Recently purchased a 1080p tv and want to connect my macbook up to it.
Has anyone found a good way to do this? i.e. a single cable from the mac to the tv that will carry sound and video (wishful thinking it seems)
There is appartently a mini-display port to hdmi on the way, and some crowd called monoprice have it backordered but dunno if this carries the sound aswell.

Almost all dell/hp/sony are now coming with hdmi out... ofcourse things are never that simple for apple

Have people been using the mini-displayport to dvi/vga -> direct/hdmi adapter to tv and routing the sound via some kinda 3.5mm jack to RCA? Does this work well at full HD?
